Time for an upgrade

Following settling back into school in September, October is a good time to look at how you can upgrade your school playground equipment, ready for the warmer months next year.

A multi-use games area

If you require a great way to use space wisely, a multi-use games area (MUGA) is a popular option. It provides a variety of different markings and equipment to enable different sports within the same space. MUGAs are ideal for school playgrounds, and they come in a variety of shapes and sizes. They usually have built-in football goals or basketball hoops and are surrounded by fencing to keep the ball in the arena. Due to the concrete, rubber, or artificial grass surface they tend to be low maintenance, therefore making them an ideal addition to a school.

Going for a run

Children love to run and unfortunately school fields aren’t always the best surface. Many schools are installing running tracks. Running tracks can be made from rubber or artificial grass. The rubber ones can be designed in any colour. You can have a short 60-meter, four or six lane sprinting track or a running track that circles the whole playing field. This allows children and adults to be able to run safely on a smooth surface. Running tracks can also be used by other facilities at the weekend and are low maintenance option.
